Default Newbie, with a '97 EX V6

Howdy folks!

I'm the proud new owner of a 1997 Honda Accord EX v6. I've always driven junkers, and though this car is fairly old, it's a big jump up in quality from my previous vehicles.

For being so old, it's got a lot of (to me, anyway) sweet features. The remote starter was a big one, though I don't know whether it was an aftermarket add-on or dealer option. My first car with electronic driver's seat controls. The moonroof still works smoothly. If I could change one thing, I'd replace the 4-speed automatic transmission with a 5-manual.

I do have a couple of questions for folks here.

1) I may replace the head unit with an iphone-compatible one (eying Sony-CDXGT540UI), and know that I need a wiring harness. I've found two, one that indicates 'keyless entry compatible' (Metra-70-1720t-1996-1998). Does that mean it'll work with my remote starter as well, or am I going to run into problems with that?

2) The driver's window is very slow going up, somewhat slow going down. Is this a common problem, and is it as simple as getting the motor replaced to fix it?

Looking forward to browsing the forums, and even more excited to get my Accord out on the road!

(We can't link to selling sites unless they are sponsors)

Remote starter was not a Honda option. There's all kinds of aftermarket remote starters, so it's kinda hard to answer #1. Keyless entry came from Honda, so that's completely separate from the remote starter.

2 - This might be as simple as cleaning & lubricating the window's tracks with silicone.

Thanks Jim! Sorry 'bout the links, I'll keep that in mind for the future.
In any case, sounds like I'll want to be careful with the remote starter. I appreciate the (very quick) help!
