Not really happy with my Accord 06
Hi members, I am new to this forum. It does not sound good, nevertheless wish to share with fellow members that I am not really happy after buying my Accord in Feb' 06. Since I am from Malaysia, I notice that it is world apart. What you guys own in US and I what have is indeed differs very much in specs though it is called Accord 06.

Very Sorry to hear of your Honda not being the same as ours here in the USA, I hope it gets better for you and that any problems you have with your car get fixed by your Honda Dealer..
But Welcome to Ours and Yours Forums..

Pictures please.
My wife has been to Malaysia (KL) on business. She tells me that Protons which are made there are reasonably cheap. However cars that are imported are very expensive. Would like to know if this has changed as maybe thamts paid alot of money for the Accord.

RE: Not really happy with my Accord 06
Thanks for overwhelming replies.
malcqv: I paid Ringgit Malaysia 168,000 (approximately USD44,000) including taxes or what we call as on the road price. The gov has lowered the taxes to comply with Asian Tree Trade Agreement, however for the price I paid I could have bought a much more better car in US. BTW Malaysia is currently a nett exporter of crude oil and we pay RM1.92 per litre for unleaded RON92.
sir_nasty: Sorry I do not have any pictures, but the car looks exactly the same from the outside. I am yet to get more info on the engine, for now what I know it is a 4 cylinder DOHC-VTEC engine. Certainly it does not meet the standard safety features as the US or International. The Audio Player only allows you to play Audio CD, not even an MP3, worst still I can't plug in an iPod.
RTexasF: I also have the feeling, it could be a Malaysian version.
Honda should seriously consider in standardizing their models globally, I trust they are not making Malaysia as a dumping ground for their unsold and outdated models.
