the tranny doesnt shift very good....it will be slow at shifting and kinda shift hard... it also seems like it shifts too much..

when going 40 MPH the rpms are only at 1250 which seems low to me.


anyone think it is dying....i have a warrenty on it .

 

it will shift into 4th at speed of 25Mph if the throttle load is light enough. At 30 Mph my car turns a measly 1K on the tach. 2K gets you 63Mph. The "shifting" is most likely the torque converter releasing when you step on the gas. It almost feels like a shift. even a litte gas will cause it to unlock. Does it shift hard all the time? If it does, change the fluid. If it does it only when it is cold, start saving your pennies for a new trans.

 

seems to shift hard if i am driving normal...if i get on the car pretty good it will shift perfectly but at like 5500 rpms.

cold and hot....


is the trannys on a 99 and a 01 the same?? my bro has a 01 and i am gonna test his tomorrow.
