Default Pioneer or Polk Audio Set up?

Sup Guys,

I have a 06 accord ex with navigation and am interested in replacing the speakers. I have no interest in replacing the head unit. However i'm stuck on which speakers to get, I'm limiting it to two brands and for intent purposes would like to keep this review only on these two brand of speakers. Does any one know which of the two set up will provide the most clarity yet produce a little bass? Im not interested in an amp or bassbox. i want to focus on the speakers.

Set Up 1:
PIONEER TS-A6992R 6 x 9" 5-WAY 460W (Rear)
PIONEER TS-A1672R 6-1/2 3WAY 220W (Front)

Set Up 2:
POLK AUDIO BD691 6x9" 3-way 300W (Rear)
POLK AUDIO DB651S 6.5 2-way 180W (Front)

Any Feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

PS. I tried posting this in the audio section but got the following message,

Look at the sensitivity of the speakers, not power consumption. And with a stock HU you're not going to get great sound. If possible, put round speakers in the back, not 6x9's. 5-ways are a joke, 3-ways are a joke as well. just get simple 2-way and save your money.

Thanks. I'm not looking at the power consumption or whether it's 3or5 way. I just heard the were good speakers and would like some feedback from anyone who have actually owned these speakers.

6x9s move more air though...bigger bass. I got 3-way Pioneers in the back. Two-way Alpines in the front. Look at my sig. Sound quality is really good for unamped stock HU system. the alpines deliever so much clarity, its like you're there and the pioneers deliver just enough bass for listening enjoyment.

The likelihood that someone on here actually owns those same model speakers in very low. Do you know what the cone material is? Look at customer reviews to get a better idea of how they will sound.

03, a circular cone is far sturdier than an oval. That's why 5"/5.5"/6"/6.5" speaks almost always sound better than a 6x9. Sure, you might get more bass, but it will most likely be distorted. I have Pioneer 6.5"s up front and Pioneer 6x9s in back (not my choice, came with the car) and with all equal settings, the 6x9s start distorting FAR earlier than the 6.5"s

That is true...but I didn't want to buy the 6x9 to 6x5 converter set since my Accord came w/ stock 6x9s. "/

I read that the Polk's i was considering getting for the rear "POLK AUDIO BD691 6x9" 3-way 300W (Rear)" doesnt provide any bass. While im not looking for earthquaking bass, i would like to have some form of bass. Can anyone confirm this?

Fosgate 6x9 PUNCH are nice. If you are running low budget, the Roadmasters from Wal-Mart get the job done. I opted for the slightly higher trim Pioneers.
