Default Problem with changing gear in manual transmission 07 Accord

Thanks for letting me in. My 2007 Accord EX has been a great car but today when I tried to drive gears, the stick was stuck. With the car on, I was unable to change gears. With the car off, however, it shifted just fine. I was able to limp along to an appointment and then limp home.

Side note;
Do any of you know what could be causing this? Several weeks ago when the shifter was hard to operate, I thought it needed transmission fluid (or oil), I wasn't able to access the fluid myself, so I took it to a mechanic. He told me he put brake fluid in the transmission. Was that a bad mistake? Was running well until today

Time for a new clutch.

And if brake fluid was actually added into the transmission, then that will need to be drained & refilled a couple times.

(If you added brake fluid into the fluid reservoir for the clutch, that's OK.)

So I had the same issue in my 04 LX. I replaced the slave and master clutch cylinder and it ended up that the welding on my clutch pedal bracket came loose. I had the same exact issues as you did.
