Default 7th gen turbo and emissions??

ok so i have searched everywhere for this but cant seem to find what im looking for..

car is a 2003 honda accord v6 with the ULEV engine. and is registered and inspected in NY

ok, let me start by saying i have allready checked the legality of turboing a car such as this with the dmv and inspectation stations, dmv says its not a problem as long as i do not make the car louder then it was in stock form (shouldnt be too hard to do). but my major concern is the ODB2 testing...

for example if im running rich for the turbo the ecu will throw a code therefore not allowing me to get an inspection becuase i have a light on on the dash. so my question is can a turboed car be "detuned" in orer to avoid having a lihgt on on the dash? i a little lost about this becuase i would be useing piggyback management for ecu and im not sure if its safe or not to detune and try to stay out of boost for inspection station? any thought on this?

another concern is turboing after the cat, i understand it will be custom but are the gains worth it? maybe somebody can point me to another thread detailing something like this.

I believe that the requirements are overall volume (similar to cat-backs), recirculated dump (from the wastegate), piggyback w/ ODB2 (for inspection).

You need a piggyback system to tune the ECU. At idle, the car is in vacuum and will be tuned that way. When done properly, no codes should be there.

You cannot tune the car. Get it tuned and leave it until you add parts that require re-tuning. You should never be in boost at the inspection station unless they decide to floor the gas in your car, in which case Id be pretty upset.

I think that you are referring to STS systems. They are the only rear turbo that I know of. Gains are good, but the plumbing is prohibitive.
