Default F22B2 Turbo

I have an automatic 97 Accord (so I'm gonna push 5-12psi). The F22B2 is non-VTec so I think that will save me some of the hassle. I want to buy a turbo, I'm looking into used DSM turbos, because I can get them for about $300 at the most. My goal is to hit maybe 250 whp. I currently have a Spectre CAI and straight pipe back to muffler (basically a cat back) system. What I'm wondering is would it be cheaper to try to find parts that work with a DSM turbo or just buy a turbo kit for my year model accord (which seem to be around 3k)? My last dyno with my current set up I got 167.2 whp. So I'm really looking for nearly a 100 hp boost, of course I know this probably won't happen with just 5-12 psi, but I'm just starting out, I will drop a turbo cam into my SOHC engine as soon as I get all the parts for my kit (the amount of time this takes will pend on the amount of cash I have left over).

250 is very no problem. the dsm i ain't sure about , used turbos always end up costing the same as new after a rebuild . what ever you use get something that is easy to replace with out redoing your complete system. once you get the manifold and turbo a universal pipe kit and intercooler should work fine. once mocked up get it welded .3k for a system better include electronics and dyno tuning . You should be able to do it. Get something like 440cc injectors, a walbro 255lph fuel pump at the least.

Remember, buying all the parts and installing can be easy, however, tuning is when it gets pricey. What were you thinking regarding tuning? Will you be going with a piggy back, or a stand alone ECU set-up?

As far as tuning goes, I'll probably get a hondata(piggy back), but I've been told that doesn't really work with automatics, I'm sure I can get something in the 150-300 range. I just kinda think a stand alone (like AEM correct?) is just overkill, those things are like 1.5k, that's a lot for a remap, my car has 250k miles on it, the transmission rebuild has 1.2k, the engine may go soon anyways, just wanna show all these stock v8s around here that 2.2 liters can be scary.

Swap your tranny to 5speed be4 boosting. Unless you want to have a non moving turbo honda.

Hmmm if the tranmissions that bolt up to the f series engines are like the b series transmission the you have np but im not sure if the f series trannies share the same interals like all b series do so if they dont then switch to a manual cuz what most people do with there autos if role from reverse to drive and that rips out the sun gear in the trannie you will have reverse but no drive ill look into this transmission and see what the players are laying down

I don’t know wtf your trying to say....But if you want to run a b series tranny you need a h2b kit. If you want to run 5speed that bolts up to f series engines then you can use f22/f23 tranny or h22/h23 trannys bolt right up.
