Default J30A1

I've basically got a stock 2000 V6 EX with the J30A1 (only difference is an SRI). My questions are:
1) Is it worth it to get a turbo on an AT?
2) Is it possible to put a turbo on my engine without blowing it up, while still being able to get out of the driveway without my engine crapping out on me?

1) Not really. You'll need a tranny cooler and it will wear out faster.

2) Possible? Yes. Expensive? Hell yes. There isn't much V6 support out there so parts are going to be more expensive and you will probably have to have a lot of custom fabbing done for it. You can run 6 - 8 pounds of boost pretty safely.

yea its definately worth putting a turbo on your car. tranny cooler is a good idea. the manifold part is the hardest part. thats why i really like this setup for your application.

you can just put it anywhere.

Plan on needing a new tranny .... Dr. Evil or a 5MT swap. Also plan on needing close to $10k to do it. The motor can take almost whatever you want to trow at it, but the tranny can barely handle what you have stock.

I love those STS systems. They twin turboed the Fidanza Corvette with an STS system and they were mounted by the rear tires. Wouldn't that be difficult running oil lines from the engine to the turbo?

On STS: The oil lines are the easy part, the intake charge pipe is the hard part.
