But then think about it, is it really worth putting all this money into a turbo set up and only run it at 5 psi.

Your best bet save up more and get a nice engine swap, like k20, or k24, tax season is coming, do not blow all you money now.....plus it is a V4

Heres the real answer. The F23 can take 8psi all day with no problems. Your 6th gen auto tranny WILL die. $1400 is enough to buy a used setup without engine management, injectors, guages, instrumentation for the gauges, oil lines, vacuum lines or water lines ..... with that, you could probably cover the injectors and all lines. Then, plan for another $500-700 for management and a harness and another $500 for gauges and instrumentation. Another $1000 for install and tuning, so about $3500 to build a budget system.

Look at the thread on my car and you can see what I have recently purchased and is sitting in my basement if you need verification on the integrity of what I am telling you. Also, if you really are going to go turbo, plan a good 100 hours of reading and research.

On top of being a Mechanical Engineer having studied similar types of systems for my degree, I have been researching turbo systems for about 3 years.

Not going to be done on a $1400 budget.
