Ok, not sure if this is a Mod, Admin only thread and just need to vent. I will follow the rules.......sorry if I'm on the wrong turf.
My oldest "lost" the 87 today....first everyone is OK. Might be able to get a few more miles or so out of it. He got slammed in the back by a newer Nissan, pushed the left rear quarter forward. Left rear door, trunk won't open...not even sure if the gas door will open. Anyway, I know it will get totaled-work/parts vs its an 87. I'm hoping to maybe get ~$1,500 from either the insurance or the individual (so they don't have to report it)...is that fair. I found a 95 EX for $1,200 that seems to be ok, haven't gone to look or test drive as all of this happened tonight.....any help or ideas let me know, or if nothing else Thanks for letting me vent.....

Feel free to post in here, its not just for mods, that is just kinda how it worked.

Sorry to hear about the loss of a classic, but the 5th generation accord is one of my favorites

Well I spent a few hours tonight looking thru/under and around the old girl and it's done, of course the body shops confirmed my initial findings from last night. It's crabbing to the left, due to the left rear being slammed too far left. Good news is that I got the gas door open to either suck out the gas or fill it up. I'm making a list of the things I want off it before giving it away as a donation....shortly before there will be a FS posting. If anyone needs pieces from a poor old 3rd gen (LX 5 speed)start getting your list together and PM me. I told the boy, about "rice's" age---sorry about that but nice pic's of you and the car--, to get a used tire for the left/drivers rear to hold it over for a week or two until we can get eveything straight with the insurance companies....sad to see her go this way, only 240K.

I just went to autozone and got the cheap bulbs($20) when you can have a HID kit for $35 online. And the HIDs probably last longer.
