I would like to propose TWO suggestions!

1:

I think it has been mentioned, but due to the increase in spammers, I think there should be a system in place (there is an option since this is vbulletin) that only allows members to post in the "intro" section until 5 or 10 posts. Some forums even go as far to only allow approval by a moderator.

So I vote for either of the options.

2:

Ride of the Month.
The guidelines, rules, and requirements are a bit ridiculous. Lets be honest, in now way is the forum as busy or used as much as it was a few years back. Because of the lack of REGULAR users who STICK AROUND, the rules need to be relaxed. In no way is there going to be close to 10 or 20 entries.

The rules should be SIMPLE and FEW. For example, one to two pictures of the ride and a description of the mods. THATS IT. Also, only posts regarding the nominations are allowed, the moderator can delete the off-topic ones.
Allow ride of the month, have one of the regulars mod it. I or Alec can mod it Ang, but lets be COMPLETELY honest, it doesn't need a mod to troll it 24/7 of everyday. It simple needs a person to make sure the thread is relatively clean and the SIMPLE guidelines are followed.

Previous attempts have failed b/c there have been to few users, the rules were more than needed, and there was no moderator for it specifically.

What are YOUR thoughts?

I would like for newbies to be ONLY allowed to post text. Any attempt at typing in HTML tags would be blocked (or they would not become active links).

I think Angelo has asked the owners to do some of those settings, but hasn't happened yet.
