Here is my dilemma. On December 31, 2007, I bought a new 2008 Accord, four door sedan, 26,000 miles, V6, Navigation, Blue Tooth - the hole package. It even has the rear spoiler. It is black with the ivory leather interior. It does not have a mark on it, and for all intent it is in perfect condition.

Here is the dilemma. I have been having trouble with the Blue Tooth every since I got the car. It just will not recognize things sometimes. Many times I have to stop, shut the car off, and restart it to get everything to work correctly. It is like having to reboot a computer. The dealer(s) says that it works fine and there is nothing they can do about it.

The A/C does not work like it did when the car was new. It will always blow cold, but sometimes it barely blows when it is in automatic mode. Again, the dealer(s) say that it is working properly, but it is not like it was when it was new.

There is a rattle in the ceiling behind the driver. Three different dealers have tried to fix it with no luck. It comes and goes.

I have had to have the navigation screen replaced once, as it started getting darker and darker till you could hardly see it.

So, if I was going to trade - get rid of the car - it seems like now would be the perfect times since it is still under warranty. I like the Accord (this was my fourth one) and was thinking about just replacing it with the exact same car.

There is one local dealer that has a 2009, exactly like my current car. However, if I was going to upgrade, is it worth the difference in price to get a 2010 verses a 2009? Is there any real difference between the 2008 - the 2009 - and the 2010? Did I read that there are some suspension changes for the 2010?

I understand that they are going to change the body style in 2011. Should I wait for it?

Also, the dealers are only willing to give me about $22,500 for my car in a trade in (my car is paid for).

Comments? Advice? What do you think?

 

Get the 2009, they ought to make you a deep discount on that new 2009..the year is over for them.

 

Memo to Sanich..You stated that the AC aways blows cold,but the fan is maybe weak in auto mode...this MAY be because you have the temp setting set too low....Try raising the temp, or try manual mode...my 2009
at times has very little air flow also when in auto mode..Also I believe that the present generation Accord will stay until 2011

 

Do not see any major change in Accord until 2011 at earliest. 2010 has very minor changes. Regards

I found out that Honda is not goimng to make any major body changes until 2012.

So, as for my original question, never mind. I bought the 2010 today.
