Anyone ever sold their car to buy an older car?

Yeah just not sure how I'd get the s60 back to my dad.

I brought the RX7 home on pre-deployment leave so he can take care of that lol.

I appreciate it Scott, fortunately I don't foresee anythign though because she will be back home staying with my parents while I am gone so hopefully she wont have to deal with anything down here in Fayetteville.

classicdawg, not much has changed in 20 years of volvos, my 2001s have their fair share of electrical issues too. Check engine lights that come on without codes, parking lights and air blowers that turn their self on when the car is locked with the keys out, and tail light bulbs that burn out like its their job.

Haven't done that yet, but just might do that down the road.
If they keep making these new cars as crazy as they are making them, then I just might look for a newer model...say a 1996 to 1999 model.

I hope the same....but again if something comes up, the offer stands - no questions asked and nothing needed in return.

Dang, Dad in the RX . Well for the next ~3 months it won't see much road, guessing snow and that will prevent safe driving.

Anyway, we'll be thinking about you and the family when you are gone. If you get a chance while over there, drop us a note in the Mod room or anywhere else.

No we didn't, didn't want anyone getting hurt so close to the ship out date. They say our camp has free wifi and I am bringing my computer so I should be in contact.

Any interest of wanting to care for my s60 while I'm gone? Can keep it at your house and just drive it so often?

Again, I'd be more than happy to. You'd have to make a list of "watch for this"......

One day a week to work and back ~ 50 miles. Wash and that....only if it is warm on the weekend...it was ~80 today and will be ~38 Sunday

Sounds good to me. I had a friend that was going to but it was more of a burden to him and he doesn't know anything about cars so if something were to go wrong he wouldn't know what to do and it'd end up sitting the rest of the time.

I called tonight and got an appointment at 10:15 am tomorrow to go test drive the car

I'm also charging up my camera to take a few pic's for you as well.

Anything else I need to know or you want more information about?

Yes those 3rd gen's are nice little cars....just keep going and going. I drive an 89 LXi 5 speed, 2dr to work and that and average ~30 mpg
