Default Governor Shut-Off/Top Speeds?

I've been becoming a bit obsessed with hitting the top governed speed on my 8th gen LX, so far I've hit 121/122 and no shut off. Does anyone know the cut-off and can they confirm they've hit it? I've heard rumors that it's 126.

What about for different gens & models? I'd like to hear everybody's experience with this.

What track are you running at. What is the distance of the straight.

No track, just an express parkway in the middle of the night. Solid roads, lots of space, and no cars for a good 30 miles.

Not good...

I hope the admins delete this thread.

If you want to track the car, fine, endangering someones life doing this on a public road is irresponsible.

The speed limit on my express way is 70 MPH. People regularly go 90 MPH+. Let's not even talk about at night time, I wouldn't want anyone wetting their pants. My tires are speed rated for up to 150 MPH and my car was very stable. The entire thing lasted for what, a minute? Yes, it's dangerous but I've done this many times and know the road very well. Clearly I had to dodge 17 cars in order to avoid a 22 car pileup tragedy (sarcasm).

If you want to live life by the rules and condemn anything relatively fun, go ahead, but saying I'm endangering people's lives is nonsense. Did I mention I did this on a completely empty expressway? If anything, I'm just endangering my own life and barely at that. My father and grandfather have done this with their cars before them.

I can see that I'm not going to get any useful answers from this thread. If this thread really manages to offend or make people uncomfortable, then yes, if a mod could delete it that would be fine.

There are places for this kind of thing, a public road is not one of them....take it to the track.
