having you ever bought a honda that turned out to be a lemon?

I form this opinion from a lot ofreading not experience. I feel they have slipped a bit since they were all built in Japan. Mine is Japan built and I've had none of the ****ling squeaks and rattles that seem to plague many of the 7th generation Ohio built models. On some sites I frequent several have traded their Accord due to the above mentioned problems. Now that the 5 speed auto trannies have been fixed it seems that engines and power trains are solid but it's the little things that are pissing people off.
Rotors that warp over and over, rear brakes that wear out around 25,000 miles, and the aforementioned squeaks and rattles seem to be the biggest problems that have not been resolved yet. Mine had the front rotors warp right off the bat and warranty covered it. There was a recall on something to do with one airbag, warranty covered that too. I had a piece of trim that surrounds the manual gearshift break, once again warranty covered it. No fighting a dealer on any of these things, they were handled professionally and with minimum inconvenience to me. I would buy another Accord but I think I'd seek out a made in Japan model if they still exist when the time comes.

This brings up a question I have...so is my 6th gen assembled in the usa and the parts are from japan or are the parts built in usa and assembled in usa as well? My friend just got a new mazda3 and it's 95% japanese parts and also built in japan. I was very jealous.

On the car it says where the parts are from and that is what was said, 95%. It is also assembled in japan, not america....here is my proof:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mazda3
The 2.0 engine it has isn't even the focus yet, but it will go into the focus next year.
As for chassis, in the second link it states, "The Axela is based on Ford's global C1 platform, which was developed by Volvo and is shared with the latest European Ford Focus and Volvo S40. Chassis development was carried out by Mazda and suspension designed by Ford. Based on the styling of the MX-Sportif concept car, the Axela is available in two body styles, a four-door sedan, marketed as "coupé style" in Europe, and a five-door hatchback, branded the Sport version in Canada, Japan, and the United States."
Putting whether the chassis is ford or mazda aside, I just like the fact that it is actually BUILT in Japan 95% of parts are from japan and its actually assembled in japan.
So does anyone know if the 6th gen accords parts are built in japan but assembled in usa or if the car is simply just assembled in usa?

There are likely many parts on your sixth gen made by Ford. Take out your gauge cluster. I bet is says "Ford" on it.
Why do you want a car assembled in japan anyway? The workers are not as strong, so they cannot tighten things down well enough (which will cause rattles over time.) The workers are overworked/underpaid. Etc..
I have no problem with my Honda being built in the USA[sm=americanasmiley.gif]
I had no idea there was a rotor issue with the Accords. After 15,500 miles warranty wont cover it. Oh well, its pretty slight.
Maybe next time, Ill buy some aftermarket rotors so theyll last longer.
My sis-in-law took on of those new Mazda SVU's home for a day when considering buying one. When she expressed hesitation at buying a Ford product, the salesman said it was built in Japan and not by Ford. I smelled BS (Barbara Streisand) and popped the hood and within 30 seconds I found the FORD MOTOR COMPANY stamped on the block.
