i am 31. i bought my M3 with money I made bowling. yes, bowling. the honda is paid for through a regular job.
i am no where near rich. i graduated marquette universtiy in 1999, went on to grad school at purdue and finished up in 2005, worked there for a couple of years, and am now working at northern arizona university (actually just started today). never had much help from my parents, although i think they did a good job at raising me. some would disagree. i paid for my first car (86 nissan sentra hatch) as well as the insurance, and everything since.
my m3 is a 2003. In lafayette, IN I paid 653 every 6 mos for both cars. In flag, its 720, though i had to change companies.

wow, nice to know its possible to own one as an average person. if you dont mind telling, how did you make that much bowling? win a big tournament or something?

im always on my HONDA. when i first got it when it was bone stock me and my buddie were coming back from a fight (UFC) on the freeway a maxima with a tip came by me . i floured it and finally caught him . and never saw him again. dont think she likes to be Miss Dasied around. its all or nothing

Now I am working full time, so I doubt I'll be able to bowl as much, but I am making more $ now. I have my eyes on a Z4M Coupe a couple of years down the road....

Ugh, I never liked the Z3/Z4... too little power for the price. If I were you I'd trade it in and put what you get towards the new V8 M3s but thats me and im still stuck in my teenager car dreamland.

actually...the Z4 M coupe is what I am interested. Really dont care for a vert. Those go for low 50s new. Same S54 drivetrain. They also CPO them.
The new M3 is several years out until I can afford one, depending on what the final price is, how much my mortgage ends up bein out here in Flag, and a bunch of other stuff...Plus they may not CPO it (they havent been doin the M5s), and I really dont care to buy one new.
