Exclamation I have a question about my 6th gen accord.

there is a black rectangle thing on my dash, there is not much info about it, and does it or is it supposed to do something?

On car's with climate control (auto operation or semi-auto operation), that would be the sunlight sensor. The climate control unit uses the sunlight sensor, an outside temperature sensor, an inside temperature sensor, and an evaporator temperature sensor for input to control the blower controls, air delivery, and A/C compressor controls either automatically or semi-automatically.

On car's with manual A/C, there is only a cover there.

yup, that is where the sun load sensor goes on the cars with the automatic climate control.
