hey guys i just started a car club, www.myspace.com/importedminds anyone have any experience with this, and knows how to go about getting sponsors, a meeting place, example of by laws etc. any help would be appreaciated, thanks

Be open. Yes, let some ricers in, and make it your goal to help other new tuners to get on the right track.
Do not drive like dumba$$'s. Makes the club look like idiots, then you get harrassed by the cops. Simple and very true.

There is a group called Xplicit Impressions that I joined a year or so ago. I was going to go to a meet but barely missed it. Met another guy who missed it. Then later that night I hopped on the forum, and everyone was bashing each other b/c half of them were driving like morons and the cops were called and it was stupid. So half of the guys had their own cruise and the retards had theirs and it got stupid. Now, they meet every week and hang out, then they cruise. Havent gone yet...as my car is still pretty lame and would be the slowest by far.
