Default Thinking of starting a car club.....advice

Hey all

I'm planning to start a car club. Its either going to be for Honda Accords, or Honda in general or sport imports in general. Any advice on how to get started? or which of the three to choose?

thanks

I'd have something broader than just accords, to attract more people. Facebook groups seem like the best way to get people together these days, at least that I have seen. If that is successful then you can think about starting a website devoted to it.

I agree do you think focusing on Honda or focusing on imports in general is best? I have knowledge to make my own website so I can do that free! lol

I'd probably say just Honda, that way people have more of a connection to it rather than just any import. Plus there are a lot of people into Hondas out there.

What I have seen a lot of groups do that are successful is have a meet a month or something along that lines, and organize going to other events(cars and coffee, track days etc) together.

How do I handle the legal side? it is a non profit club so I heard I can just put any money I make on it just as additional income on my personal taxes. is that so? the only income I will get from it is from advertising/sponsors and member dues (which will be spent to grow the club?
