which is cheaper to maintain...a 2005 honda accord or 2004 mercury marauder

Well usually, the domestic parts will be cheaper than foreign parts.

I am going to say accord because you are going to be happy with paying less for gas in between checkups/maintenence. plus I'd think a v6 or i4 wouldn't break down on you like a v8 might...

...I thought honda made some of their parts in the U.S.

yeah funny thing is most "foreign cars"(honda toyota etc) are made in the US while most "domestics" are made outside the US. I do believe the car with the most parts made in american is the toyota corrolla.

when properly maintained I would believe that both cars would offer years of trouble free reliable service. Based upon overall history of each company, the Honda should be the cheaper car to maintain
