Hi,

Your EX-L does have a factory security system. (The 2007 EX, EX-L and V6 came with the factory security system.) Did they give you the owner's manual for the car? I think it is on page 144.

Even aftermarket alarms will not prevent people from stealing things, they just smash and grab in seconds. Years and years ago, I had a stereo stolen in seconds even with the alarm going off. My car was less than 30 feet away from me, behind a shielded tennis court fence. By the time me and my friend ran around the fence, they were gone with my stereo.

In downtown San Francisco, I've seen the homeless casing cars and ready to break the windows for anything. Don't park near sidewalks with broken car safety glass and cover/hide your stuff before you even park; lol.

 

Also, your car has the ignition Immobilizer.
