Default New SRT-4

Hey everyone, I just wanted to let you know that I just picked up an awesome car that might put my Project Accord on hold for a little while. 2005 SRT-4! The mods on it so far are the Mopar stage one blow off, Forward Motion WGA, k&n drop in filter, magnacore 8.5 mm wires, DC 3" cat back w/ 4" tips, NGK Iridium plugs, Hotchkis powering springs, sway bars and strut tower braces, Tokico Illumina shocks, 5Zigen 17x7.5" gloss black FN01R-Cs, Michelin Pilot Sport 225/45R-17 tires. the beast is runnin' 17 lbs. of boost! 266hp. I'll post pics as soon as i get some next week. I pick the car up tomorrow!

Man, 17 psi out of the box??? I knew a kid who shimmed his wastegate to put in like 25 psi (he's on his 3rd srt) and he freakin KILLED my friend's mustang GT. I had never seen a car pull away so fast. Needless to say, my buddy with mustang is pissed at this kid for life.

Have fun with that car, man. You're going to be making some v8 owners PISSED!

wait........... 17 psi and only 266 hp? riiiiiight...... that engine must have been downgraded or something....

Side note, the engine is a 2.4L dohc which should be putting out around 170 to 180hp alone

and mbo, v8 owners have been complaining about that car for a while, then they go, oh yeah, its not n/a

Must have some low compression!

That doesn't seem to matter to the people I know with v8's. My friend with the stang is waiting angrily for the day when he can beat that car.

I'm jealous! I'll admit I love Hondas but I was born and raised a Mopar kid. (My dad has a 1979 Dodge Lil' Red Express that will beat a stock 79 Vette in the 1/4 mile) and its fast as heck. Have fun with your SRT-4 man! They are the best bang for the buck and it sucks they stopped production. But they are replacing it with the SRT Caliber thats just coming out. Its going to have 300hp and I forget how many ft lbs of torque. It'll also have the option of AWD so Evos and WRX's are going to have some serious competition.

Yea that hp number might not be correct. It was my bro's car but he's having another kid so he had to sell it. I'll post with hopefully the correction and what the compression is.

8.1:1 compression with forged Mahle pistons from the factory with forged alum. rods and "cracked" rod caps. The beafiest factory motor i have ever seen. My brother has one right now (05'), MPX cat-back, MPX cat-delete, MPX O2 housing, AEM intake, Greddy Turbo Timer, MSD Ignition Box, MSD Heat sheild, MSD Wires, Wastegate Actuator, 18psi (made with just an intake and stock boost 248whp and 259w-lbft) slammed to the ground with the stock wheels painted black. This thing kills everything in its path. Not many cars can stand up to it. It's beaten Cobra's, Camaro's, STI's, Supra's, M3's. Heres the car domain> http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2226430
