Peeps with aftermarket alarms:

You ever find your alarm going off at random times? It must be just me, but at least a few times at night and during the day at work, my remote will go off for the "warn away" thing... its like the slightest wind sets off the sensor or Im just going insane...

I told you, with a hammer!

It should just slide between the hub and lower control arm and then you twist the screw thing...

yea my alarm will warn randomly, but my alarm isnt from the factory. So it has a rock sensor, the slightest little tap sets her off. Its been a while since its gone off. Where i park i cant hear if my alarm is going off.

Okay the castle nut is off, thats good!

Is it a screw type remover with two forked arms on it or is it just a pickle fork?

Pickle fork:

With the separator you want the forked arm to go against the hub, so stick it in between the bottom of the boot and the top of the lower control arm. Then, put the not forked arm on the bottom of the stud. Sticking the castle nut back on would be a good idea so you dont fawk up the threads.

I can draw on your pic if you need me to...

Mines not factory either, its a Clifford... people who try to steel my deck are fawked. Theres no way they can get the deck out without setting of the alarm... that whats nice about attaching the alarm brain to your deck hahaha

yeah i'm still a little confused..............I have the fork one. so I pry it in between the lower control arm and the ball joint, then push down on the handle so it pushes it up/push up on the stud?

Pickle fork? Pickle fork just goes between the hub and control arm... I havent had much luck with them, they like to destroy the boots.

I usually just hit the stud upwards a few times and it comes free.
