anyone see the new Accelerated Retirement of Inefficient Vehicles Act, its pretty much the old cash for clunkers bill. They will offer people 3000-4500ish for their older and gas hogs. What is wrong with this picture? Oh yeah thats right the economy is in shambles, so lets try and get everyone to buy a new car with the money they dont have. Because 4500 sure wont get you a new car.

SEMA is working against the early retirement act, for most of the reasons you listed. They sent out an email about it and some other schtuff.

Snow day? FTL. We had 1 snow day in 4 years of high school and like 2 in junior high. And then if Texas gets 1/2" of snow they have to stay home while they salt and plow the roads hahahahahaha

did you see the guy with the 67 mustang or whatever that they offered him $500 for? Then he said for $25,000 they could have it lol. Its not like you have to trade them in. If Obama wants to come give me $500 for my car then crush it, he can take the keys from my cold dead fingers.

lol... i wouldnt mind seeing all the old rust bucket V8s with no cats go, i completely understand that part, but obviously classic cars and cars with cats should be touched at this point. Im sure they can engineer some sort of retrofit emissions systems on older cars, it wouldnt be that difficult
