Oh and the line at the car wash was stupid long. why there were 15ish cars waiting for the car wash at 2 in the afternoon i have no idea.

 

If it's been more than 3 years your out of luck on the three ring, and if it's the DVD then it's only a one year warranty. CLICK HERE to see how you pull the codes and a list of what they are. My first xbox died in 06, before the 3 year warranty. I fixed it with the x clamp kit, which is only $10 or $15. That is if your GPU or CPU solder joints are bad, and it's bassicaly clamp that clamps the chip down and you reflow the solder to fix it.

 

They dont have the code that mine is giving, the top two lights are on and the bottom left one.

Are you sure? I don't think I've ever heard of that. Are you even interested at all in fixing your xbox? I know you don't want a new one.

 

You can try and delete the cache and all game updates, it could be a software glitch. How to do so is that the bottom of the page I linked in my last post.

 

If it was a cheap fix I wouldnt mind, but I dont want to spend $150 to fix it when I could get a new one for $200

 

The instructions used to delete the updates and stuff sounds like the console actually has to be working to begin with.

 

Er... any 3 lights = free fix by microsoft. That means its a hardware failure and shoudl be covered by the three year warranty. That warranty expired for the first shipments of 360s in November 08, so you should still be covered.
