The wires are in the right polarity for the HIDs on the 7th gen, no need to flip them around. At least on my car that is.
EDIT: If you are getting HIDs for the best visibility then I would go for 5k, if you going for improved visibility and looks I think 6000k look better.

oregon is a dry state meaning we can only buy hard-a at a liquor store and mon-sat.not past 10 pm. so when i go to fresno i will be going to costco for which i can buy my jack daniels 1.75lt for 20 bucks. im excited.

It's really simple, especially if your not using a relay harness. If your not you just plug the headlight plugs into the ballasts. You do have to take out the battery to get good access to the left side headlight. I went a bit crazy hiding and bolting the ballast up, you have to disassemble a lot to get to my ballasts. But now HIDs are so cheap I wouldn't even bother, just make sure they are secure and in a dry spot.
