The Old Official OFF-TOPIC Thread Is Done
ipods like anything small and portable have Li-Po batteries, and they have to be taken care of. There is a certain way to make it last it's full 300 cycles, you should wait until it's at 25% to recharge, not more or less. And the first 5 times your charge it you need to let it go almost to the cutoff and fully chrage it, Li-Pos need to be broken in. And the lttle HDD doens't last forever either. Apple makes some bulletproof stuff, nothing lasts forever though. I've got an old 3g ipod in the car I got for free from my brother in law, I then paid $30 for a brand new HDD, so I've got a brand new ipod for $30, pretty damn good deal if you ask me.
We just replaced my mom 9 year old iMac, the one with the round base and floating screen. It's lasted this long and ran OK for the past couple years even with only a 900mhz processor and a 1gb of ram. We got her the new 24" iMac that just came out last week. Nows she's rocking a 2.9ghz Dual Core, 4gbs of ram and the sexiest 24"s of screen Ive ever seen.

Lol apple without a doubt makes the best laptops. While they are not the cheapest still a good deal for what your getting. I personally prefer a PC and XP because I'm not a stupid user and keep my XP running beautifully, and I love the customization possible with XP, and I don't play games or run any serious apps. OS X is a much better OS though, XP and I think even vista doesn't know how to use a dual core. With XP, one core is dedicated to the OS and apps that support hyper threading, while the other one is dedicated to apps. OS X is optimized for the dual cores, and uses them more more efficiently.
I want that MacPro with dual Quad cores and 32gbs of ram. Too bad the 32gb upgrade is more than my car....
EDIT: NVM the 32gb upgrade is only 6 grand now, before it was more like 17 to 20 grand.
REDIT; Or maybe the whole computer topped out was around 17 grand, my memory isn't so hot.
