LOl touch something metal that is GROUNDED, before even handling the RAM. To ground the shielding in the laptop you would need to plug the power cord in, but then it's energized. So find some other metal that is grounded, like a PC case.

EDIT: Also I THINK, that you can discharge yourself into those grey conductive bags. They may need to be grounded for it to do anything as well. I just work in bare feet on concrete, that keeps you grounded as well.

 

If he starts jerking it into a bag, I'm leaving.
