The Old Official OFF-TOPIC Thread Is Done
I'm a nerd... no homo. I would consider myself a 6 or 7 out of 10 on comp skillz.
And I bought my 1.5TB drive over a month ago and it's half full... HD movies FTW!
Apples are by no means perfect, but they come damn close to it. I got my G5 when they first introduced the dual processors. Dual 2Ghz... we paid $5k for it and $3k for 23" cinema display, it can still outperform most computers in raw computing and it's 6 years old.
My 15" MBP has been through a car crash, multiple droppings, and I've disassembled it at least 6 times in the last 6 months and regooed the processor and gpu chips with thermal paste and it runs like a champ.

Man it started pouring rain in the middle of a race today, and I mean POURING. I rushed to get my boat in my trunk trying to dry it as much as i could, but it was still wet and getting wetter. Well a couple drops of water hit my 250.1 amp, as I was driving out of the park to go to a gas station to finish drying the boat I heard a sizzle crackle and pop then I got a wiff of that lovely burning smell. My fuses didn't even blow, so it just sat there cooking for a minute while I pulled over and pulled the fuse. Man I am pissed off, that amp wasn't cheap. Now I have to replace that amp, and not get a new damn HU. FML
