Just ordered my radiator. $74.96 total. Getting a new thermostat + hoses in a few days.

Sold my ipod, bushings, $500 gc, and now my $299 gc is listed. All the $ is going towards paint.

Ohhhh are you guys in for a treat! I have been wanting to use this for ages!

Speaking of radiators... I've noticed my temp reading is a bit higher than it was when I first got my car more than two years ago now. It is very consistent and went up slowly over time, wasn't overnight or anything. Would that just be the sender aging? Rust in the water jackets? Or should I flush my radiator? My fluid is just below max, and never has dropped much below that. I know if the sender is accurate it is only a 10 degree increase if that, but I plan I driving this ***** into the ground over the next 5-10 years so I want to make sure she's perfect.

Have you checked your actual radiator fins to make sure bugs/road salt is not blocking them? This would be an easy explanation for a small temp increase.

Yep I have, only a couple small spots near the bottom. Not more than three, and from very small rocks.

Might want to flush out the coolant. On these newer vehicles with the aluminum blocks, it is more important to change the coolant than on the older steel/iron blocks.

Remember, aluminum is very sensitive to heat and it is extremely easy to warp them. What fluid are you using? Did you or the previous owner ever dilute it more than 50/50 with water? Could be condensation/water getting in the system over time which obviously water will reduce the effect of transferring heat.
