Yes, he has 2 12" cvx powered by an mtx amp... its my cousin. He graduates from HS this weekend, so im driving up 4 hours to see him and his wrx.

 

2?! I've been dieing to hear two of those monsters thump. I hope he's feeding each at least 600w, they will take 1200w like a champ.

 

I don't know what amp it is.... I know he bought the car with an MTX amp and 2 12" junk subs in a custom spare tire enclosure. I'm not sure if he bought a new MTX amp or what... I'll look into it and take some pics.

 

Danny must be packing a bowl and vaping... $5 if I guess correct.

Then that's no good, he should be running at least a 1500w, which is serious power. Much less power than that would be best suited to one sub. A good 1500w is serious money, and from what your saying I'd be surprised it's a 1000w. If he doesn't plan upgrading his amp, sell the other sub and run one. If not once they are nice and loose tell him to hook up only one sub, and ask him how it sounds? May not be louder depending on the power, but will sound much cleaner if under 1000w.


EDIT: LOL I was actually smoking it, I packed it like 20 minutes ago and I was just sitting around looking at it. I've actually kind of stopped vaping at night and smoking instead. This strain that I have now gives me a better sleepy stone if I smoke it. I love my bowl, it's literally me in a bowl form, she's got big glass fat rolls her names blob.

EDITEDIT: Oh and the point of that was, is I have to smoke outside, I'm not allowed to smoke inside, I'm so unlucky

 

I'll figure it all out and fine tune his stuff this weekend. I think he got two just so it wouldn't look stupid in his box. He'll be down near me next fall for school, so a new (possibly my first attempt at glass?) box is in store.

I highly doubt it's more than 1000w too, but I'll pass on your advice and see what he thinks.

I think I'm gonna smoke on my birthday.... but I'm debating... I'd like to be clean in case I need to find a job.
