They are on the iphone now, lol everything they are "adding" has been available for jailbroken iphones.

100hz at 12db for your sub is a bit high. May make it sound a bit too boomy/buzzy, try it a bit lower even with a larger octave if you want, you may like it better.

EDIT: Oh apple just added a feature where you can track and erase your iphone if it's stolen over the web, now that's pretty sweet if your one of the vags that get jacked or leave your crap places. I've never lost a phone, ipod or anything...

Yeah 100Hz is a bit high, but I have $50 Pioneer 6x9 in the back amped by the HU, so I really have no distortion free mids, so I'm somewhat using the sub to fill in some high spots. It sounds more even throughout the range, but I've lost some clarity in my highs. Oh well, it's a very inexpensive systems that sounds pretty damn good using crossovers, the 16? band EQ, and a proper enclosure. I've been satisfied with it for the last 6 years now enough to not want to spend money on sound.

and iphones are gay.... I hate them. Apple is really failing in recent years because they've made a ton of money being a fad rather than a computer company that caters exclusively to the poor artist demographic.

lol That is a really good way of putting it. My only love for apple right now is how they actually know how to use multiple cores, while windows is ****tarded. I don't really dig the OS X interface, nor the XP, but I can customize the **** out of XP and make it whatever I want. Really the only macs I would buy are their laptops and a mac pro. But I think they are going to stay like this, never going back to serious computing but this psuedo-cool bull**** they've been doing the past 8 years or so. But in the software world, right code for specific sets of hardware is THE best thing for fast and stable software, windows biggest problem. It has to been compatible with an unlimited set of hardware. If MS started to make PCs, and a special version of their windows for that set of hardware, I think they could actually make a "good" stable and fast OS. I mean I use XP, but I'm not sure if I would even call it XP after everything I've done to it.

EDIT: If only the windows department was as good and intuitive and the gaming department at MS...

Truth. I think Apple shined best with their G4/G5 PPC processors, and somewhat with the introduction on their Intel hardware, they've always been into the stylish aspect of it though. I mean, damn, if you're going to be using it in public it might as well look nice and space age... and just look at all the wack *** colors and patterns you can get on HP laptops right now... I'm glad apple went with simple white/silver/black for now.

And you can change the Aqua interface to be just about anything you want... theres plenty of apps for that.

As far as hardware compatibility goes, I think that's an age-old bull**** excuse. My laptop is 3 years old, my G5 is 5? 6? maybe... not once have I had to get newer, better equipment to use any current hardware/software. I haven't come across a Windows-only piece of hard/software in a long time that didn't have an equal, or better, Mac counterpart. I was kinda aiming that at video cards... I've played with a few high-end built gaming PCs and the clarity and response is great and everything, but they still have a ton of screen tearing and flicker. My 3yo 256mb ATI card in my laptop can reproduce nearly the same results, yet more stable.

Yeah my g4 ibook has the same graphics as ANY up-to-date non gaming laptop now. It used to run x-plane no problems. And I don't even know what chipset it has, nothing special...

HAHA ****ing apple is going to charge $10 for the 3.0 OS for ipod touch users, and free for the iphone. What douchers.... And the leopard update is going to cost $30 for leopard owners, they think that if they change the name people will thinks a new OS and not an update... And they say it like they are doing a nice thing...

EDIT: Nothing give piracy a boost like all these damned micro transactions. I would have spent over $200 on all the borderline useful apps I have on my ipod. All my truly useful apps aren't from the appstore, and actually do real ****.

EDITEDIT: Man I remember when the first power G4 came out, I think that was even before OS 10. OS 9 was where it was at back in the day, windows couldn't even get close to touching the speed and stability of OS 9. Hell I still don't think they have...

Well they jsut announced the iphone 3G "s", lol so far it's only a bit faster and has a 3megapixel camera.

EDIT: And voice control, what's with apple and voice control lately? It's just a novelty that makes you look like a douche in public...

And a digital compass, big whoop...

"Increased" battery life. "Up to 5 hours 3G talk time, 9 hours of WiFI internet"

And prices...
12:00PM "But we want to reach even more customers. So we're going to keep the iPhone 3G on the market... at $99."

12:00PM Black and white... no colors.

11:59AM 16GB of storage, and $299 for a 32GB version.

11:59AM "The iPhone 3GS... just $199."

lol... it sucks getting old... because now i can see the slow decline in quality over time and it sucks. "top of the line" barely excists these days and consumers expectations are super low... most people have a "if it's expensive and looks pretty attitude" towards everything these days.

I dont blame apple for banking on it because they certainly werent earning the money they shouldve when their quality was unsurpassed back in the day.

Yea their quality has definitely gone down, but so has everyone else. So their quality is still relativity "high". But their customer service still beats anyone hands down, the genius bar **** is pretty gay though. Before it was alright when you could just walk in and wait 5 minutes, now that stupid people have their hands on apple it's just turned to ****. As usual leave it to the intellectually inferior to ruin it for everyone...

Yeah... I don't mind making an appointment for the next day, where else can you drop off a computer for repair and have a turn around of less than a week, plus it's all warrantied work and parts.
