Because the price for scrap steel is less than $1/lb, whereas platinum is a ton higher.

Well considering platinum is worth $1,200 an ounce..............even if there is only 1/2 or 1/4.

wow this freaking moron parked about 1 foot away from my car. He has an end spot and has roughly 3 feet on the other side between his pos old blazer and the curb. If he dinged my door I am cutting a hole through the wall and hitting him with a bat.

Side note, the battery backup for the alarm looks pretty straight forward. I havent been home recently but am assuming my mini alarm is there. Hopefully I can get to it this weekend.

I need cash BAD! The passenger front side rotor is making a "ch ch ch" noise that is linear to the speed of my car. Brandon/Cameron, is there any way to tell if my caliper is frozen without taking the wheel off? That side rim gets quite a bit hotter than the front drivers side.

Hi guys! I figured that I'd throw my update out there.

Stereo Project
I have my new rear fill speakers. The problem is that I have to make baffles from 2 5/8" MDF pieces and there are some fairly thin parts. Then I have to figure out how to get the interior back in over the speakers that will be about 1/2" extended into the car. This is because I'm swapping out 5.25" stocks for JL 6W3's and the magnet wants to be an inch or so through the body of the car.

Tranny Project
I have my Competition Clutch Stage 3 clutch and lightened flywheel, Quaife LSD and the TRD install kit. I just have to figure out when it can get done. They say 7 business days and their open 6 per week .... I'm going to see if I can borrow my cousin's car.
Info on the build here.

sounds like more of a warped rotor issue to me than a caliper issue. Then again I only know a little about maintenance stuff, more about modifications.

Thats what I was thinking. 114,xxx on factory rotors and pads = ftw/amazing! But I forgot to grab my rotors and pads when I was @ home Maybe ill get them put on this weekend.

Side note: Got here @ 12:30 and an idiot in a malibu was parked in my spot. I should have had them towed but didnt feel like waiting and then possibly having the person mess w/ my car. So now its across the parking lot where I cant see it
