Default Pre owned not up to snuff

LET ME FIRST SAY HI AS I AM A NEW (PRE-OWNED) HONDA OWNER OF A 2006 SE ACCORD.

THIS IS MY FIRST HONDA AND I WAS CONSIDERING A NEW CIVIC BUT BECAUSE I COMMUTE AND I'M AN OLD FART, A MORE COMFORTABLE ACCORD THAT WAS PRE-OWNED SEEMED SMARTER.

TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT, WITH ALL THE CHECKLISTS THAT HONDA MADE, MY 2006 WITH 14,700 MILES HAD MANY DINGS ON THE REAR BUMPER AND THE DRIVERS SIDE MIRROR WAS SCRAPED BADLY. THE MIRROR WAS FINALLY REPLACED WITH ANOTHER 06 ON THE LOT AFTER MANY RETURN VISITS. STILL HAD A MARK ON IT BUT ANYHOW, I WASHED AND WAXED THE CAR YESTERDAY AND SAW MANY MORE SCRATCHES AND EVEN A SMALL DENT IN THE HOOD. NOW I PAID 16250 FOR THIS CAR WHICH IS A NICE CHUNK OF CHANGE, AND I I BELEIVE THAT HONDA'S HIGH STANDARD AIN'T SO HIGH . THE CAR SEEMS FINE MECHANICALLY AND IT IS A WONDERFUL CAR TO DRIVE BUT I JUST EXPECTED MORE FROM THE LEVEL OF WHAT THIS CAR SHOULD BE AS A PREOWNED CAR. I ALSO PURCHASED THE 7 YEAR 70000 BUMPER TO BUMPER WARRANTY AS WELL.

YOUR THOUGHTS ARE WELL APPRECIATED.

FRANK

at least that's a reply.

both shift buttons on my keyboard are not working. having all upper case letters seemed a better option but if others are displeased as you are with my choice, i will instead use lower case letters.

a new keyboard is on the shopping list.

Well, OK if the SHOUTING wasn't just arrogance, it's hard to tell that from here.

Unfortunately, I kinda agree the price is high for a lot of body nicks & dings, but the time to deal with that is negotiating with the sales guy. After you write the check, you have no more leverage with him. And I wonder why those nicks were invisible before you bought the car?

i really don't know why the nicks did not stand out more before i brought the car. i looked at so many cars, i just did not focus on them. plus, the car i chose is silver which tends to mask imperfection more so than a dark color. they have a poor detail shop too so even after the car was clean, it was not pristine.
it was my mistake to beleive there pre-owned hype in terms of level of standards regarding apperance in the first place. i just thought or assumed that the car would have a higher standard being a "honda".

i was considering returning the car knowing that i would lose some money but i wonder how much.
