Hey guys. As you know I've got an AV6 and all it's done for me is trouble. It's gotten me 3 tickets since late February, and now the slave cylinder has gone out. I'm beginning to think this car isn't for me. Well, I'm working on entering the Air Force as an E3, and I'm thinking about selling my car and getting a S2000 when I hit E5 (which should be in a couple of years hopefully). Well, what do you know about the S2000's performance and upkeep? Are they worth getting? Should I get an AP1 or AP2 model?

 

So the Accord gets you tickets... Now you think an S2k would be ... SLOWER??

I've heard it said that its more fun to drive a slow car fast, then to drive a fast car slowly. What about a 81 VW diesel. Takes about 20 minutes to get fast enough for a speeding ticket.

 

Nah dude. Actually I'm looking into the S2000 for saving gas, and I deserve the speeding ticket because I was driving down a cop infested road late for work. I learned my lesson there. I like the AV6, but I'd love to drive in the afternoon with a 2 seater convertible such as the S2000.

 

Yup, I hear ya. I think I'd like a ragtop, but then I'd wonder how to put bicycle racks on the roof.

 

S2k are basicly awesome, but the V6 accord still gets better gas mileage than it according to the EPA.

Pfft. Not mine! But then again I'm comparing my gas mileage to my 97 Accord which had over 220,000 miles and still got better mileage than my 03 Accord. Actually I couldn't see a S2000 as my daily driver. Maybe as a weekend driver or something though.
