I will (with luck) be buying a new 2013 or 2014 Sport within the next week.

I need to know whether there are any well known issues with this vehicle, recalls, etc.

Who owns one and can give me a feel for how it drives and its comfort on, say, an eight hour drive? What about actual mpg versus claimed? Is there any compelling reason to get a 2014 over a 2013 now that we are at "Year-End Sales Event" time? How much better is it than my sort-of-disliked 2010 Accord LX? Will I be a happy boy once again? Will I continually bump stuff in it like my gargantuan, bloated 2010? Can you see better when backing up or pulling into narrow spaces? The 2010 is very hard to navigate, and I mean that in the sense of it feeling like a Town Car or a Crown Vic. (I now see why old men drive those cars like they do. The 2010 Accord forces that sort of behavior.)

I can afford an EX, but the Sport appeals to me more; It looks really nice and the price with a manual is actually very good.

Well, I have no actual experience with one. You also have to remember that this is a forum and we mostly hear the "bad"....not too many join up and say how much they like it, more often they join to ask "how do I", "I don't like", ect.

So, keep that in mind when I post the rest of this.

1. Some are not happy with the HF phone/audio - I think Honda has an upgrade/change to the software.

2. Some have reported a "noise" from the front on hot days. Again, Honda has come out with a "check"/"test" for this.

3. Some do not like the seats - you asked about a long drive. Have dis-comfort in the lower back.

Again, you asked for honest feed back, I'm just giving you the "bad" things I have read from others.
