This morning I took my '03 V6 coupe to the dealer for a tranny fluid change and exterior wash, then I went to a test only station to get a smog certificate, then I went to DMV to get tags for '12, but the line was half a mile long so I went home and took care of the registration online and that took a whopping 10 minutes!

C'mon lads, you must be doing something to your pride and joy!

keep this thread going fellas!

well today, I flushed the Power Steering Fluid. I used a syringe to suck out the PSF and topped it up, but when I looked at the quality of it, it was burnt and black

so took it for a drive and the steering was already feeling a lot better. So repeated the operation a few times, until the quality of the PSF was acceptable. (red ish)

I doubted if anybody bothered to change the PSF on this car over the years. Probably something that we all neglect?

I can now turn the steering with one finger

Week ago my Accord's EGR and intake collector pipes were cleaned from the "burn-dust" that's accumulating there. They had lost almost half of their capacity through the years (the car is 130k miles). Now it runs like hell, much more power and even the fuel-consumption went down!! I would advise anyone with Accord of over 50k miles to go and clean the EGR/intake collector pipes on the next maintenance schedule.

Ah well, my Accord is vastly different - it's the Euro Accord 7th gen 2004, its Diesel (I know you don't like diesels over there ). In US it's sold as Accura TSX with bigger gasoline engines. Over here we prefer smaller and more economical engines, the distances are smaller and the fuel costs about $6-7 per gallon both gasoline and diesel, so about half cars are diesels because of the quite higher economy.

Even if you decide to stuff the EGR, which might be a good idea, still the intake collector pipe should be kept clean. But idk what is the situation with gasoline engines and if there is intake collector and if it stuffs over time.
