You had 0 income for last year? I think you still qualify for $300.00, people who make less than like $18,000 (I think... can't recall exact figure from the news) are supposed to qualify for $200-$300.
0 taxable income. any real income was fairly under the table.

Sir_Nasty ..... is that the one that does 15,000:1 contrast ratio? If it is, a friend of mine got it on black friday. Nice unit .... also, it does have 1080i, but as mentioned, 720p is better.

hah.. i had to go back and look thinking "I put strip club?!"

and what recession is this talk all about? no one i know has been out of a job longer than a few days to a week since 9/11, and most of them LOST their jobs when 9/11 and the dot com bust happened... They're all still making really good money, and haven't the foggiest idea what this "recession" we're in is really about...

someone enlighten a non-political member....

yep, 15,000:1 Contrast ratio, 720p (1080i input processing capabilities that it upscales to 720p), sleek gloss black frame and more inputs than most people need! The whole contrast ratio thing is VERY misleading though... There is no industry standard for measuring it so comparing a samsung to a panasonic to a vizio via contrast ratio means absoloutly nothing...

I'm glad your friends are making good money and haven't been unemployed for much longer than a week. They must have very marketable skills....but.... unemployment is at a 2 year high and foreclosures (at least around here) are off the hook. Thousands of people are losing their homes to the mortgage crisis due to variable rate home loans that first started out below the prime rate. If not a recession looming, most likely a sluggish economy. I wonder when we will know 2008's GPD?
