sublime: Just a little tip. If you replace the rubber elbow coming off the compressor with a metal elbow with a longer inner radius, angle it a bit downward and join the straight pipe with a straight rubber or silicone connector, you will free up a bit of power by reducing your charge pipe backpressure. FREE POWER FTW!!!!! ..... well, almost free.

longer radius in the elbow means a slower turn. As far as angling downward, that is so the pipes line up like you said.
Making that elbow rigid rather than a rubber fitting will help too.

Yeah Ive considered entering the Ball Bearing arena and selling my current turbo... If I do that i have seen some that already come the the elbow...
What material is the compressor made of, aluminum? can it be welded?
