I'm looking to replace my hood on my 97 Accord SE. The paint is faded really bad - the color is called Black Currant (Dark Purple)I think. The hood is ok structurally so it could be repainted and I'm willing to trade it+ cash for a good one in my color.

Does anyone know how much itwould cost to repaint thehood?

Under $500 at Maaco or Abra. Double check your paint code in the door jamb. Black Currant Pearl (RP25P-3), I am 95% sure was only used for one year between 1998-2002 models, likely 2001.

Wow... that's really weird then... black currant wasn't a popular color.... the best of luck on finding a hood the same color!

 

yeah you wont be able to find one in that color, I would just get it repainted, I would think alot less than $500 to have it painted.
