You are contradicting yourself in every post. First you ask for cheap and don't want to rattle windows. Then you say JL Audio is in your price range and you want TWO subs...........HUH? why not go to a pro shop and ask their opinion on what you want to accomplish?

And the idea that you have to "break in" a speaker is ridiculous, these are the people who spend $100 for 3 feet of speaker cable...it's snake oil.
You have completely shown your ignorance there my friend. You could not be more wrong on both counts.

I saw someone offer a $1,000,000.00 reward to anyone who could "Prove" there was any difference in sound quality between a certain brand name of speaker wire that cost $200+ and some that cost <$75.00. It was posted online...was never paid out. www.audioholics.com

I'm not going to argue with you, you obviously have too much money on your hands.

What? I think you misunderstood. I agree that paying that much for wire is stupid; copper is copper.

lol @ this thread. There are way too many variables when it comes to this debate. One has to do w/ the quality of cd played, amps and speakers. If you go to walmart and get yourself pioneer speakers cd player ect. No your never going to tell the diff. in the sound quality b/c its junk products. Now when you get into some REAL audio quality products yes you can tell the diff. in sounds quality. Why speaker wire is so expensive is the the type of conductive material they use also how fine of strains are also. The smaller the strains and more of the strains is a more conductive connection from point A to point B. I could sit hear a write a book on this but I dont care to. Honestly your shooting your mouth off when you dont know what your talking about. DO RESEARCH you will find out how stupid you are making yourself look. Im not attacking you so dont take this the wrong way. Just do your research and talk to some audio visual freaks and they will tell you the same. Its all in the quality of product is being used. Now if you really want to hear some quality stuff go old school when everything wasent amplified digitally. Like say Harman Kardon. I have 300w (true 300w) amp that is older then me (22) that is not a digital amp. It DESTROYS my 1200w car amp. Also its clean and clear no cracking or popping no matter how high you crank it up. Old units like this actually had multiple compactors built in. Like say if you touch one it will light you up and shoot you across the room. Trust me Iv been dumb enough to try it. My dad tricked me into doing it BTW.

It's not always the copper that makes it high dollar. When you look @ high dollar wire you just cant plug it in all *****-nilly. Most of the time you have to look @ the wire and it has certain direction the wire has to go from point A to point B. B/c of the way they wind the strands of conductive material. Its all about physics of material. More strands of tiny wire is more of a surface area for the electricity to be conducted.
