clunking noise

Default clunking noise

hi..got a 96 2.2 coupe, n everytime i go ova speed bumps get a clunking noise coming from front passenger wheel area..mechanic had a look but cant find the problem..any body out there got an idea...thx

Can you make it klunk by bouncing the car when parked? If so, then lean down & listen while someone bounces the car. Best thing for noise is to pinpoint the location & that's hard for us to do over the net...

me and my partner tried tha and nothing, it comes frm under the passenger footwell, every nut and bolt hasbeen check and tightened and its not the exhaust

I'd remove the strut, make sure you mark location so you install it back the same exact way - to avoid a wheel alignment. Then you can check control arms for play - that'll give you bushings condition, and ball joints play. I'd visually inspect the top of the strut as well, for signs of wear. Try to find a manual on this forum to get prompts on how to do this.
