I thought that the term coilover simply refers to the adjustable height geometry of the spring ..... aka a threaded tube with a movable perch.

Why do you not like the Knoi setup ..... the spring looks really well designed for a progressive rebound rate and Koni shocks are some of the best made.

I agree that the Tein SS set kicks @$$! The last time I pushed it, I could hit 0.95 g's and hold 0.9 measured with a G-Timer. I'm hoping that I can break 1.0 with my new skins! 225/60-15's

coilovers are height adjustable, but more specifically they refer to the shock & spring assembly as a whole package.

I didn't know that the terms includes the "package" definition.

.
well coilovers are height adjustable, your koni yellows are not, therefore not a coilover at all.
I know, that's why i said g/c is not really coilovers, rather it is just slevees.
I'm pretty sure my koni yellows are adjustable since I can adjust it to firm or soft.

technically, our cars use shocks, but the names are used interchangeably. right koni does make coilovers, aka the spring and damper sold as one assembly and are height adjustable. hes got Koni yellows in his sig and was reffering to them, which are just the shock. *edit* i just looked at his sig further and it says GC coilovers AND koni yellows? this is contradictory impling he has an adjustable height shock with spring assembly...and another shock.
Yea, I know I should really change it when I added the Koni yellows but I got lazy. I'll probably change it later.

i know koni yellows are damper adjustable, so are my Teins, but the koni yellows are not height adjustable.
