coilover installation problem...broken stud
Maybe this isn't really a suspension problem but I need some help guys. I was installing coilovers in my 94 accord the other day. I had just finished the front and was about to install the rear ones, but I couldn't get one of the lug nuts off one of the rims. I tried to use a breaker bar and some muscle but what happened is that I think the stud is loose and the lug nut is still stuck to it so when i try to loosen the lug nut, the stud goes with it. Is there something I can do to fix this problem or do I have to take it to a shop?

have you tried to pull it out? it's possible that the bolt snapped and if that's the case then you should be able to just pull it out and replace the stud/lugnut.... or does it just spin freely in both directions? any resistance at all?

RE: coilover installation problem...broken stud
it does spin freely both ways so i think its snapped off, but it hasn't fallen out yet for some reason. I didn't want to try pulling it out because i didn't know if it would cause any problems, but I'll try that out. thanks

get some thin plyers or something and pull it out if possible. Then you just need to buy a new stud from an auto parts store and a new lug nut and you're set... I've broke one before....
