on anything over 3/4-1" drop you usually need a camber adjustment kit which would require an alignment shop (or you can get it close on your own) however, if the tire isn't tilted to badly then you could always just leave it with the tires cambered a little bit and in that case if you just remove the old shocks/struts and replace the springs then you don't need an alignment...

ok, now if the springs and shocks are replaced, you don't need a camber kit? sorry, i was kind of confused with the last reply. i wanna lower mine - front 1 inch and back 1.25 inches.

I have the Comptech springs and Koni yellow, adjustable shocks on my car (2001 Coupe) and had an alignment done to fix any issues. Granted, I had it done shortly after getting them installed, a week, and think that I may have waited a little longer for the shocks and springs to settle a little. I have had no issue with camber/tire wear on my new tires and wheels, but I do have some ride issues that lead me to believe that letting the suspension break in a little might have helped. I also had responded to a previous message about camber kits for my type of car (2001 Coupe LX V6) and I stated that the rear had what appeared to be a camber adjustment. I still haven't taken any pictures, I apologize. Hopefully I can get some pictures done this week.
