Default Firmer steering

so im just throwing this out but is there a way to make the steering firmer on a 1994 accord. My mom drives a ford focus and it has a firmer steering and i like it. I know its not loose suspension components. will for instance a prelude rack fit and be firmer?? just looking for ideas or opinions.

What do you mean by firmer? Like less "play" between when you turn the steering wheel and then the wheels actually turn?

On some steering gears you can adjust pinion depth in the rack, but it's very time consuming and not frequently done.
