Anyone have any issues with there steering? When I turn my steering wheel to right or the left I get a creaking sound like rubber on metal. It goes away after I start driving for awhile. Could this be struts, the reason I mentioned struts is because my tires won't grip the road to well in snow or wet roads and I have 70% tread.

It may be ball joints. Check them out, because if one lets go on the highway it probably won't end well.

Lift & support the front end. Have someone turn the steering wheel back & forth while you try to pinpoint the sound.
