Rear Squeak When Parked
Hello everyone. First post. My wife has an 09 Accord, 4 cyl w/ 145k miles. Recently I've noticed a squeak coming from the rear driver side. If you bump it or as you're getting in and out, there's a slight squeak. I haven't had a chance to take the wheel off, sounds like something just needs some WD40 back there. Can anyone guide me on what to look for? Assuming it's suspension related.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Most common thing is probably sway-bar bushings. Those are just rubber blocks cradling the bar, & you can try to work some grease into them. (WD-40 won't last long)
There's several other possibilities, so if possible get down close so you can see, while someone bounces the car to make the noise. There's ball joints & other bushings that might be the source, so don't just assume it's the sway-bar bushings.
