Exactly what is the difference between lowering springs and coilovers? Ive heard that coilovers make for better handling, why is this? Why would i have to replace my struts if i got coilovers?

Default RE: Whats the difference?

coilovers are adjustable, lowering springs arnt. You dont necessarily need new struts, but the spring rate on coilovers (because they are adjustable) are kind of shotty..that'll cause your stock struts to blow out quicker. If you get some nice aftermarket adjustable struts with coilovers, you'll have a better setup and smoother ride.

if you dont have to worry about winter seasons, get a nice set of lowering springs.
