Here's the deal...........
Have a 01 4dr EX-L that has two center bent wheels...........
Also have in my shed a set of 03 V6 coupe OEM wheels and tires with less than 10K miles on them.........

So my thinking was to buy a set of 16" wheels for my 01 and use the tires from the 03 wheelset. They are the factory 205/60-16.
My thinking is that it will also give me a lil fuller look in the wheel well, a better ride with a bigger diameter tire, and a little larger contact patch on the road.

Will there be any clearance issues?

I am doing this to save a little cash and use some tires I already have. This is my daily beater car with 175K on it and no problems at all. Everything still working A/C, ABS, SRS, etc...........

Car is silver, and looking to get a silver painted 5 or 6 spoke wheel that is rather cheap, have found one wheel so far for 91 each.........Sport Edition F7 16".

 

What is the bolt pattern for your 2001 wheel and then what is the bolt pattern on those 2003 wheels

 

I think 2001 4-cyl cars had 4-bolt wheels.
If your 2001 has a V-6 and 5-bolt wheels, then they might bolt up directly...?

 

the issue is with the tires fitting, not the wheels........
the wheels from the 03 are 5 bolt and my 01 is a 4 cyl with 4 bolt........
I just want to know if the larger tire 205/60-16 will fit ok if I buy a set of 16" wheels in 4 bolt pattern to put on the 01

 

I think the 2001 V-6 came with 205/65-15.
So those 205/50-16 tires are barely 5mm larger in overall tread diameter. I bet they'll work OK.

 

The difference is minimal..
2001 OD of tire is 24.9
and 2003 is 25.7
